Setting up the Muffin Tin

First, you will need to cut out each of the pumpkin number circles. It really doesn’t matter if you chose the B/W version or the colored version.

Then you will place each number you want your children to explore into a muffin cup. The numbers can be placed in sequence or mixed up. Some of the numbers can be used or all of them. It is really up to you.

Finally, a decision will need to be made as to whether you will have your children place a matching number circle on each pumpkin, a pictures of a number of pumpkins or objects in each cup. If children are working on number recognition, you can use the number circle. If children are working on number sense, they will add a number of objects that match each number into its cup or the pumpkin circle.
