This week we have been reading books on flower gardens. I thought I knew which book JDaniel would like best and I was wrong. He really loves the book with the most detailed drawings and just a few words.

We read:
Mortimer’s First Garden by Karma Wilson is about a mouse that decides to plant his last sunflower seed instead of eating it when he hears the people in his house say that planting seeds makes more seeds.
Zinna’s Flower Garden by Monica Wellington follows Zinna’s garden as it grows. She documents its growth in journal entries.
JDaniel made his own flowers by gluing circles onto paper plates. They made their way very quickly to the refrigerator.

LOVE the flowers he made! They turned out really cute! 🙂

The Dudes actively rebel against doing crafts. #2 even refuses to read books with me saying, “I don’t even know how to read so why are we doing this?” He’s into doing things for himself.

What a cute, easy idea.

A Cottage Garden Alphabet looks beautiful. Love the large flowers he crafted!
Wonder Mom says
Yup, those flowers NEED to be on the fridge- in fact, you should slap some magnet stripes on their backs and call it a day!

I’m sure those flowers bring color and smiles to the kitchen 🙂
Jolly Green Mommy says
I love the flowers, and I’m sure they look great on the fridge. I’m quite jealous. Most of our projects are taken apart upon completion.
(Also, I am giving you an award on my blog. I apologize if I’m redundant.)
Raising a Happy Child says
