The Very Greedy Bee by Steve Smallman is about a bee that decides not to share a wonderful field of flowers he has found with his other hive mates. He eats it all himself and grows to big to fly. He needs the help of other insects to make it home. This book has a great lesson on sharing and helping others.
The Delicious Bug by Janet Perlman is also a book on sharing. The two lizards on the cover both catch the same bug. Neither one wants to let go of the plump bumble bug. They have an argument with their tongues out that takes them all around the pond they live near. The lizards have to learn to share and how to apologize to their neighbors for their rude behavior.
We made a bug out of two take-home boxes from Cracker Barrel. We went to Cracker Barrel while visiting with my mother-in-law this week.

Our favorites were The Very Hungry Caterpillar and The Very Busy Spider by Eric Carle, as well as Ten Little Ladybugs by Melanie Gerth. We still love bugs…well, they do! =)

I’ve been reading your blog for a while and I really enjoy it. I love reading other Christian Mum’s blogs and of course the crafty toddler posts! I have started a new weekly post called Friday Focus. Basically I write on Fridays a brief post about something the Lord has been teaching me that week. I’ve made it a blog hop with the linky tool and am inviting other Christian bloggers to join in if they want to. I have a banner on the post which you are free to use if you wanted to. Of course ignore this if you want, just thought I’d let you know. : )

Hey, putting bugs in the truck might mean you have a future exterminator on your hands… :0)

That bug is cute! We love cracker barrel so I’m sure we could go have dinner there one night for the “good of the education.”
I could use some books on sharing as well. We may have to see if the library has those ones on hand.

Great site! Thanks for stopping by Motherly Law! Isn’t SITS great! We are currently reading Charlotte’s Web, and Darling 1 reports that is his favorite bug book. We also like the Giant Jam Sandwich – of course, that one is about getting of rid of wasps – but still kind of a bug book.
I’ll be back to check out more posts!
Thanks, Anna from Motherly Law
