Spring is blooming all over our yard. The trees have flowers. The bushes have flowers. The grass has little blooms in it. The only thing that has bloomed is the flowers beneath the mailbox.
In honor of spring JDaniel had a muffin tin filled with flowers and a few worms. There was a cheese and turkey flower, flowers made of crackers, a flower made of pickles and carrots, a flower made of pineapple and dried cranberries. Flowers wouldn’t grow without worms to work the soil. JDanie had a pudding cup with dirt and worms.
Can you guess what he ate first? Yes, it was the worms. He wasn’t to sure about eating worms at first. Once he bit into the first one, he was all over the worms.
He liked this meal so much he requested it again the next day.
What could you eat over and over again for lunch?

So glad to see things starting to sprout and bloom! Not looking forward to allergies but I love the warmer weather! Cute idea! I could probably eat panini sandwiches from Corner Bakery over and over for lunch. My kids? Pasta, pasta, and more pasta. Have a good day!

Love this! I thought about doing a dirt cup too, but decided to save it for later. I’m glad he liked it. It’s one of my favorite kiddie treats!

I would have eaten the worms first too! ;o) I fix an Asian spinach pasta dish that I could eat every day for lunch. It’s based off of a recipe from the Pioneer Woman and there are so many ways to change it up. Even the daycare kids love it!

Hi There, Thanks for coming to my blog. I am enjoying yours… Love your muffin tin… AND–those delicious spring treats look wonderful. I probably would have chosen the ‘worms’ first too… ha…
My hubby and I stop at the Holiday Inn Express in Simpsonville every time we go from home (Tennessee) to Ocean Isle Beach, NC….
Please come back to my blog anytime.

What fun!
My boys would love if I let them live on fruit and yogurt.
Me, I don’t think I’d ever get tired of authentic gyros. My waistline would suffer, but I would be happy.

Of course he ate the worms first. What kid wouldn’t.

This is such a great muffin tin lunch! The worms are a kid magnet, not too surprising that he ate them first.
I could probably eat a quesadilla or burrito every day for lunch, but I’d be a million pounds heavier for it!

Let’s just hope JDaniel doesn’t think that all worms taste that way 🙂 Otherwise very cute tin.

This is a wonderful page! I just recently discovered Muffin tin Mondays and just did my very first w/my 3yr. old son tonight! We had a YELLOW theme (As that is his fave color) He had yellow muffin liners, yellow bell pepper sliced into sticks w/honey mustard dressing to dip, corn niblets, pineapple pieces, banana pudding w/banana slices and yellow sprinkles, yellow dyed macaroni, pineapple juice and milk we dyed yellow! He got to help make the pudding, put the banana slices and sprinkles and his pudding and he put the yellow food color in his milk and stirred it up. Then I also red a Curious George book (Man w/the Yellow Hat in it) and a couple of pages from a color book about the color yellow. He loved it! Thanks for the wonderful idea for spending more time with my son.
