Making gelatin was a lot of fun. JDaniel loved getting to stir the mixture after I added milk to it. I have never had gelatin with milk, but that is what the directions instructed us to add. JDaniel loved it. He asked for it over and over again. Due to the fact that it made tons of gelatin, he was able to have it over and over again.
The noodles were added to stir-fried veggies and chicken. He inhaled all of it and asked for more.
The cookies were another big hit. It was fun to see what type of car or truck would come out of the box. My husband and I enjoyed them too.

That sounds so fun! I love Asian foods and wish we had a market like that here.

Sigh. I wish my girl would eat stir fries – Husband and I used to have them at least twice a week before she came along… On your next visit, you should get Chinese cooking wine – just a tablespoon or so with some chopped ginger or garlic makes the yummiest marinade for chicken.

Those cookies are way to cute – How about candied sunflower seeds? I understand they are originally a Chinese treat although you can find them in other retailers now.
My daughter used to love it when I bought Pocky sticks – I’m not exactly sure what the “stick” was but half of it was dipped in chocolate or strawberry yogurt – I think those are Japanese though.

What a great idea! My office is near an Asian market that I have only entered one. The smell was unique and I did not know what to look for. I will give it a try with the girls to see if we can find anything fun. They also have those cute chopsticks and love eating with them.

What great fun and so important to introduce kids to different kinds of markets. I’m like a kid in a candy store in them. Speaking of candy…have you tried the ginger candies???
Lots of yummy love,

The only stores we have around here are aimed towards Hispanic Cultures. I love some Li Hing Mui seeds! They are sweet and salty dried plums, I can eat them till the roof of my mouth is raw!
I should really get our kids some noodles and make a simple stir-fry!
Question- do you put the jello in cupcake liners to set? I’ve never thought of that! I’ve never had rice cookies, but my son would like them!
