What did we do? Decorating A Clock
When he finally agreed to work on the clock plate, he would only write my name. I was impressed that part of the scribble looks like an M.

What a cute book! I love books that help kids when they are transitioning to new stages in life- such as potty, new bed, brother or sister, Kindergarten, etc.

Great idea about the clock! I know some people get a digital clock which is a little easier for them to understand – don’t get up before the first number is a 6.

I am going to look for this book….SBJ will be moving to a big boy bed, SOMETIME (no rush), and this would be a great book to read at that time!

I just have to say: if my kids started calling me at 6:15 in the morning, I would cry into my oatmeal.
Cool book, cool clock, cool meme.

What a great book and craft idea. I saw in a family fun magazine that someone colored on a clock face the time frame when their son was allowed to come wake Mom and Dad. If the hands were before that time he had to stay in his room. It seemed clever. I think it is great you are teaching him how to use a real clock and not just digital.

We have digital clocks in our kids’ rooms. We encourage them to watch for “7” to appear, but usually they wake up sometime between 6:30 and 7.
I remember checking this book out from the library and not really liking it a whole lot. The little boy exhibited too many naughty behaviors for my liking especially jumping on bed and getting out of it when he should be sleeping.

Sounds like a great book; I might have to add it to our collection as the time to move my little man into a big boy bed approaches… Cute clock activity, too! Stopping by from the Mom Loop.

The change to a big boy bed is HUGE! My boys have each been excited about it, but it has meant more vigilance on my part, especially as they are getting used to their new freedom. 😉
