Mrs. Matlock asked us to look for autumn colors this week and share a post on them. JDaniel and I took a walk around our yard and this is what we found.
We loved the bright red seeds hanging from the tree.
This is JDaniel’s tree. It was planted to celebrate his six month birthday. Its leaves are green with a hint of red and yellow.
These leaves are so pretty that I took a close up of them.
It is a little fuzzy, but I still like the close up.
The deep purple leaves of this tree in our front yard remind me of plums.
It is wonderful to see the many colors in this tree’s leaves as it starts to dress for the fall.
JDaniel selected Warty Bumpy and Greenie from a pumpkin lot down on main street. I bet you can guess which one is Greenie.
Fall came late to South Carolina.
The leaves are just starting to change and only a few have fallen to the ground.
We talked about the colors we discovered. There were shades of red, purple, yellow, green and orange.
What other autumn colors should we look for?
What colors are you seeing where you live?

Looks like you are seeing more than we are in Louisiana. It nice and cool today, I hope it stays with us.
Love those pumpkins. I have pictures like that when we were on vacation. I was amazed with that bumpy pumpkin, is it called a peanut pumpkin? I can’t remember.
Thanks for linking up.

Such beautiful pictures!! Fall is arriving late here as well. We’re just now starting to see a faint change in the colors of the leaves. And it’s been in the 80’s so it really doesn’t even feel like fall. Nothing like carving pumpkins while you’re sweating like a pig because of the heat!!

I hope I can experience “real” fall one day since it’s pretty much summer all-year round here… =)

Beautiful fall pictures! You have so many wonderful colors. Our fall hasn’t had the brilliant colors we usually do, so I’m really enjoying everyone else’s colors.

Fall certainly is a great time to talk with JDaniel about colours!

The colours have been a little weird around here. The horse chestnut trees started to change right back in early August, but then nothing else happened. The rest of the trees are finally beginning to catch up!
Judie says
Your photos are lovely! JDaniel will remember them when he is older.

Wartie and Greenie! How cute! I love those leaves your shared, too. The name of that tree is right on the tip of my brain, but alas, it will not release from the sticky mess that is my actual thought process!
This was lovely.
Thank you for sharing it!
