I Am Thankful For….Bento Lunch

I am Thankful for Bento Lunch for Kids

I am so thankful to be a part of the group called Bento Bloggers & Friends. They are hosting a bento lunch hop  today featuring lunches displaying things that we are thankful for. We were not supposed to feature a turkey in the lunch so, I featured one beside it.

We have so much in my family to be thankful for. The cornucopia of our life is filled with wonderful blessings.

 
What do we have to be thankful for?
 
We have good food like homemade granola to eat. JDaniel and I made an autumn granola with apple butter, maple syrup, applesauce, oats, a variety of cereals and dried fruit. It is delicious!
We have a home to live in. After seeing so many people recently lose there home, we so thankful that ours is safe. The cheese house represents our house including our cozy kitchen.
We have amazing friends and family people in our lives. The apple people represent all the people we love.
We have two cars that are over tens years old, but they both run. One stopped running temporarily last week due to the need for a new battery. We are thankful that is has a new one and now both of the cars are in great shape. The oddly shaped cheese with windows represents our cars.Cars looked that way ten years ago didn’t they?

We have wonderful church to go to and can teach our little man freely about God. The cheese cross represents that they gratitude we have for being able to do that.

We are so thankful that Jesus’ birthday is drawing near. The Chinese noodle stable with an apple manger represents how thankful we are that Christmas is so much closer than it was when JDaniel started his Christmas list last February.  He has started asking almost everyday about the number of days until Christmas.

Finally we are thankful that our little night owl has adjusted to the time change finally. He spent several nights howling at the moon way past when his parents were ready to go to sleep.

As you can see we have big and little things to be thankful for. How blessed we are!

  11. I like the idea of a Thanksgiving bento box symbolizing all the things we are thankful for.

    First and foremost, I am thankful for my family. And the One who gave them to me.
