A few years ago I shared with you Going to School and Coming Home Backpack Checklists. I tried to create generic lists that each of you could use on your children’s backpacks. This year new set of back to school printables that are editable. The first one I am sharing with you is the editable backpack checklists. Just as before you will have a Going to School and Coming Home checklist. There are two versions of the checklist. One is large and will display words that are a size 22 font. The second set is much smaller and will display words in a size 16 font.

Typing in the Backpack Checklist Items
When you have your backpack checklist items selected, it is time to type them onto the back to school printables in Adobe Acrobat. You will need to type each item that needs to go to school onto the light bluish gray box beside the square bullets on the checklist found in the top left-hand corner of page two. When you hit enter, it will appear, on all the other checklists on that page.
Once you have finished the Going to School checklist, you can move to page three and work on the Coming Home checklist.
Why have more than one checklist on a page?
- You may have more than one child.
- Your child could lose their checklist.
- Your child’s backpack and its checklist could be placed in a messy location.
- The laminate you place over the checklist could be torn.
Printing Your Checklist
When both of your checklists are completed, you can print them out on a color printer. You can print them on the front and back of a sheet of paper by selecting two-sided in your print window.
Protecting Your Checklists
You will want to laminate or cover your checklists. You could use name tag holders. If you have a thermal laminator and pouchesthermal laminator and laminating pouches you could use those to cover the checklists.
After you have covered your checklists, you will need to create a hole in the top of them with a hole punch. Then you will need to place a hole punchthrough the hole so you can attach it to your backpack.
