This How to Draw a Nativity Scene with an Algorithm worksheet is part of a Christmas Offline Academy series. Previously you may remember seeing the How to Draw a Nutcracker worksheet set. It was the first in the series. Keep your eyes peeled! There are several more Blockly block drawing worksheets in this series that will be shared in the next few weeks.
There is only one worksheet in this set. You will notice that it features pictures and words on the Blockly blocks at the beginning of the algorithm. The final blocks in the algorithm feature only words. Your children will have fun deciding what animals and background they would like to include in their scene. Many nativity scenes have camels, donkeys, and sheep in them. Your children can decide if they want to draw these animals or other animals they think may have been there.

If you have a nativity scene, you can have your children play with it before starting the activity. Below you will find several nativity sets that would be easy for your children to play with.
Downloading Your How to Draw a Nativity Scene Worksheet
You will need to download the How to Draw a Nativity Scene with a Blockly Bock Code Worksheet set. It includes the How to Draw a Nativity Scene worksheet and a printable that displays the scene minus the animals and background details. Next, you will need to decide if you want to print out just the worksheet or print out the almost picture too. The almost finished picture is included so your children can see the details of the manger and people in a larger setting.
Exploring the Activity
Once you feel your children have enough background information on the nativity scene, you can have them start drawing their nativity scene. The Blockly blocks will walk them through the sequence they will need to follow. You can have them work on it own their own or with other children who are drawing their own scene. You can place the worksheets and the completed drawing in a center instead if you like. There are many ways you can have your children work on this activity.
