This set of Offline Coding Academy worksheets features Halloween words. The letters of a Halloween word have been placed in boxes all over each of the algorithm game boards. Your children will have fun using arrows to connect boxes leading to and from the letters needed to spell the featured word. Each algorithm game board has an answer key included in the set. The answer key will feature one way to complete the gameboard. However your children may find another ways to complete the board. In other words, the answer key may just help your children see what an algorithm could be.
Building Background Before Exploring Halloween Words

How to Explore the Hallowen Words Algorithm Game Boards
These Hallowen word game boards invite children to connect the beginning of the game board to the last letter in the featured word. Arrows children place in the squares will connect the word start to the last word in the word
The arrows children place in the blocks will need to point in the direction needed to leave the box and move to the next box leading to a letter. While there is more than one way to complete each gameboard, some routes are more direct than others.
When a coder is creating an algorithm, they try to use the fewest steps possible. Some children may try to find the shortest route with the fewest twists and turns. Some children will try to come up with the most creative route. It will be fun to see what your children choose to do.
