Maybe This Tiny Tree Will Grow Next Year
Why such a tiny tree? We actually don’t have space for a large tree. Well, we could have put it in front of the fireplace, but if we had a tree in front of the fireplace where would we hang the Christmas stockings. My mom suggested that we move some of the furniture out of the living room to make room for a tree. I am not sure where we would put the displaced furniture in our house. We have furniture everywhere. It flanks every wall of every room. Yes, it may mean we probably have too much furniture or maybe it means our Cape Cod house is really small and doesn’t hold a lot of furniture. We combined two homes when we got married four years ago and I gave away a lot, but maybe not enough for our house to hold.
Next year JDaniel will be three and half and he will probably want a full size tree. Until then this little tree will be our special Christmas tree and we love it.

As long as you all love it, then it is perfect!
You HAVE to get a proper tree! For J Daniel if for no other reason! 🙂
It’s cute. I would miss my big tree.
Your tree looks lovely beside your Nativity scene. And just think how little stress you will have putting away your Christmas decorations! As JDaniel gets older, he’ll be able to help more and more with the decorating, making the holiday even more fun! My kids are grown now, but my most elaborate Christmas tree and Christmas decorations happen when I have my kids around to help!

Your tree is so beautiful! I love how it looks next to the nativity scene, such a sweet picture. It’s probably safer for a toddler too…ours is attached to the ceiling with a ribbon because I’m sure a boy is going to pull it over. 🙂
It’s such a cute tree! I want one!!!! Thx for visiting my blog….I became a follower. Would appreciate if you could return the favor. Thx in advance!

I think it’s perfect! We got a large tree this year, but it was a lot to decorate. I’m leaning towards a fake tree for next year.
As long as you love the tree, that is all that matters. Our house is kind of awkward for a tree. And this year, I did not realize how wide our tree was until we brought it home!
oo I thin its perfect! Like you said maybe next year.. but even if you dont it is the experience of decorating and looking at the tree 🙂
It’s petite…:) Love it. If you had put it in front of the fireplace then Santa couldn’t of gotten out of the chimney. Good thinking on your part girl!
The way that you described it sounds like a pretty special tree! Thanks for stopping by My Whimsical Way on Thursday…. I’m just now catching up! I look forward to following you!
very creative 🙂 and so much less clean up. i bet it doesn’t shed needles like ours.
We had a tiny tree a couple of times while in our apt. When we knew we’d be moving in he spring, we sdaved it & potted it. 11 yrs later, it’s still going strong. : )
Looks beautiful next to your nativity scene!
In the beginning DH and I would always buy huge trees despite our already small home. But as the years went on and our family grew, we realized smaller is better for us too =)
I say if you can get away with it, why not? But where do you put your Christmas gifts?
Oh I love your little tree!
xoxo,t
That is a genius idea! But where do the gifts go? A small tree would be perfect – not much at all to clean up!!
Perfect solution! When we were living in a small space I just gave up.
