![Kids can use a hand print instead of signing their name on their thank you notes.](https://jdaniel4smom.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/handprint.jpg)
My sister Michelle used to have her children’s hand traced at the bottom of their thank you notes. It was a great alternative to having them scribble all over the card. Yesterday afternoon I finally sat down to write thank you notes for all of JDaniel’s wonderful birthday gifts. Last night after dinner we sat down to do his hand tracings. He loved that he was getting to leave a handprint on the cards that were going out to thank his friends and family. JDaniel was very patient as I traced his hand over and over again.

That’s a good idea! My H is a bit silly but I do hope you will have time to Visit Me
That’s a super cute idea!
Good idea…thanks for sharing and extending a Hand of creativity:-)
Oh, I used to make cards and notes with my daughters’ hands like that… they always love it.
Happy Thursday!

Sweet little hands. 🙂
i do that too and the girls love having their “signature” on a card 😀
What a great idea…wish I had seen that a few years back.
That’s such a great idea. My parents always encouraged us to write thank you notes and I can see how this would be a great incentive.
Well isn’t that just the cutest idea? I love it. I don’t love thank you notes. I am horrible about this. Maybe this will add some new flava…:)
I am going to enter the Kroger giveaway after I get home this weekend and have a little more time…:) Thanks for reading, my dear!
That is so sweet, it really adds that special touch! I adore home made gifts and this fits the bill.
What a great idea. I think it means a lot to the recipients to see the child getting involved with the thank you, too. Plus, you’re teaching manners early on. There can never be enough of that! 🙂
Cute idea! What a great way for relatives to have a record of your son’s growth!
That’s a neat idea. I think my son would like that! I usually let him color on the opposite page, but I think a handprint would be neater! 🙂 lol
Sweet idea! Good for you for instilling the custom of writing a thank you note. So many children today grow up without learning the importance of writing a note of thanks.
what a great idea and a memento too! their hands get so big, so fast…..happy h day! melinda
That is a lovely idea and I know grandma’s and special folks would really appreciate that!
That’s a great idea! My son is bit young for this yet (I doubt he’d stay still long enough for me to trace his hand), but when he gets a bit older I’d love to do this!
That is a totally cool idea, i used to do that with my daughter’s hand … and it is so cool to keep those little tracings for scrapbooks too!
What a sweet, thoughtful idea – a good way to begin a habit of saying thank you & a precious remembrance. You have a lovely blog.
What a wonderful idea! I’ve done the hand tracing with children and now grand-children but sure haven’t tried to use it on notes.
Really, really excellent!
