Here is what she has to say about life coaching?
Proverbs 20:5 says, “The purposes of the human heart are deep waters, but those who have insight draw them out.” Have you ever had a nagging feeling that you really knew the answer to some challenge in your life but just couldn’t quite put your finger on it? Do you ever have so many thoughts whirling around deep within that they seem to elude you? As one very successful businesswoman put it, “My dreams and potential were within me. I just needed someone to draw them out.” That someone was a life coach.
Life coaching is a one-on-one relationship between a trained coach and a client for the purpose of bringing about change the client wants in her life. Coaching focuses on how to move forward from the present to a better future, and follows the premise that the client, not the coach, is the expert on her own life. Christian coaching believes in the client’s ability to solve her own problems based on the Holy Spirit within her and her own unique experiences.
How does coaching work?
When my husband and I first began our training to become life coaches, we were practicing on each other and I asked him to coach me on getting my desk area organized. That may seem like a very small thing, but the constant clutter had bugged me for years and resulted in a continual low-grade anxiety that important things were being overlooked. Yet I felt powerless to change it. My husband is very organized and could have just told me what to do, but instead he asked me questions and encouraged me to think of options on my own. His confidence that I could find solutions myself enabled me to come up with many ideas, and within a half hour I’d found ways to solve what before had seemed an insurmountable problem. That seemingly small victory has given me the confidence to tackle bigger problems and make other needed changes in my life.
Life coaches help people in every walk of life define core values, set and pursue concrete goals, and discern and live their unique life-purpose. In businesses, organizations, churches, schools and families, life coaching is producing amazing results in the lives of people who are being coached. I’m curious: can you think of areas of your life that would benefit from life coaching?
What do you have to do win this wonderful opportunity?

My commitment that I wish to make stronger is to leave everything better than I found it, everytime!
My goal for this year is to run an organized home for my family. I recently became a SAHM after leaving the corporate world and my children are 2, 3 and 4 so you can imagine the chaos. I am homeschooling all three children for pre-school and at times have felt overwhelmed.

Honestly, I didn’t make a resolution for this year. I have issues with staying on task with my ADD. It’s too depressing to fail.

I really like their principle of Equip and Release. I’d love to have her come to my house to show me how to organize my home and equip me to keep it that way. From there, she could release me to do it on my own.

HONOR. Our willingness to treat others as special
and worthy of royal treatment echoes the coaching
perspective of others as “creative, resourceful, and whole” in Christ.
This resonates with me.
