If you went over with the teenager that lives next store exactly how you wanted the bushes trimmed and shaped in the backyard, you would probably trust him to do the job exactly has you had described it.
Your three year old might think that the teenager needed a supervisor. He might feel the need to supervise the work while standing on a stepstool on the deck a few feet away from the bushes.

As the supervising manager he might feel as if he was needed to watch the teenager work on each step of the task. Each stroke of the trimmer would need to be analyzed and commented on. Critiques of how well trimming is going would need to be shared.

Despite the warm temperature and the need to constantly wipe his forehead, the bush trimming manager might stay on the deck until the task is complete. He would just wipe his brow with his baseball cap from time to time.

Thankfully the teenager has two little brothers close to the manager’s age. Thankfully he is patient and good with kids! Thankfully he played along with the manager and asked him from time to time how he was doing.

The manager was a tough task master, but displayed expert management skills by issuing words of praise to the bush trimmer from time to time.

You have to love a manager that isn’t afraid to sweat it out with you in the heat of a Carolina summer day!

Gosh is it Thursday already? Your little manager there made me smile. 🙂
So cute! He’s even scratching his head, like he’s in deep thought about the project. 🙂
JDaniel has got it all covered, I can see that.
bwhahaha!!! That is hilarious!
I love how he’s out there sweating it out. A true CEO in the making…the good kind. 🙂
So cute! I have a little micromanager, myself…
I love it!
Little boys are so fun to watch.
I wonder what he will be when he grows up!
I need a teenage neighbor kid to come do my yard! I love your little supervisor, he is adorable!
What a cutie! Love his dedication to his job 🙂
haha! this is too funny.
So cute that he is so interested. I’m sure he kept the neighbor on task 😉
That’s funny! He is probably thinking “That is going to be me someday!” 🙂
That is so cute!
HAHAHAHA! I LOVE this! He is so cute standing up there supervising! He has a great future!
Too cute!! Love the way he made sure he could watch it from a convenient signt of vision….lest he misses out on the detals :)! Thanks for sharing such lovely/fun pictures.
That’s a cute little Manager!
lovely demonstration of what you are doing ..
beautiful humor, perfect entry.
He has a future in senior management.
Strangely enough, my dad does the same thing and I’m 32 years old. I need my parents to come over and watch my kids while I mow and my dad stands out and “supervises” the entire time. Sweet, possibly, but it’s a lot cuter coming from a 3 year old.
My dad always liked that job! lol
Very cute!
That is So adorable! How nice that your hedge trimmer expert didn’t mind a little over the shoulder help!
Ahhh. Too cute. I love the picture of him wiping his brow.
Now that’s my kind of manager 🙂
This is so cute! Just makes me have a hearty laugh 🙂
Aw how cute mr manager looking after his mommy bushes.Did mr manager do a lot of talking or only when he gave praise? My ms manager would have talked him up the bush.lol
that is too funny!
broxton has to supervise when maintenance comes to repair things here
That is so cute!
I love that the teenager was so patient and played along with all the “managing.” Cute!
He is an excellent manager!
That’s hysterical!!! I wish we had nice teenagers like that around here!
awww….soon the manager will be doing the trimming!
I have things to learn from this manager! 😀
Pretty cute! I had my three year old grandson with me most of last week and he managed my every move! It was exhausting and exciting all at the same time…
Not all managers are as good with people as JDaniel, that’s for sure. 🙂
that is so cute! They both look like they did a great job! Fun post! {:-D
You made me smile. Thank you…and I’m envious that you have a teenager in the neighborhood who can follow directions!
ha ha! a great little manager! What a sweet story–all ’round!
We call #2 the Yard Supervisor. He’s the only one who doesn’t mind getting his hands dirty when it’s time for Dumb Dad to do some work. #1 hides in the bathroom and #3 usually winds up somewhere mostly naked, covered in something so he’s sorta more trouble than he’s worth!
Too funny! And how did I not know you were in Carolina? North or South? We could be neighbors! 😉 And I just realized I was not yet following you – which is odd, cause I thought I was, but I am now.
Love it!! He looks very dedicated, lol.
Visiting from Wonder Wednesday Blog Hop. Better late than never!

That’s the cutest manager I’ve seen in a long time! 😉
By the time that JDaniel is old enough to trim the hedges himself, he will bean expert!!!
It’s a good think I got photos of my grandsons this morning or this post would have put me into a serious state. What a sweetie that little manager is!
What a marvelous manager you have there!
And darned cute to boot!
Thanks for the smile!
A+
I really impressed that the teenager was so patient and played along with all the “managing.” He has a future in senior management. I have things to learn from this manager.
