My friend Cathy just sent me this awesome quote. It really makes me think about the need to enjoy being you!
‘May today there be peace within. May you trust that you are exactly where you are meant to be. May you not forget the infinite possibilities that are born of faith in yourself and others.. May you use the gifts that you have received, and pass on the love that has been given to you. May you be content with yourself just the way you are… Let this knowledge settle into your bones, and allow your soul the freedom to sing, dance, praise and love. It is there for each and every one of us..’
With all that is going on with my family this week this quote reminds me that your life is important each and everyday.

I love this quote by Jim Elliot found in the book Shadow of the Almighty.
“He is no fool who gives what he cannot keep to gain that which he cannot lose.”
With all that has been going on with my father in-law and his continuing to weaken health this quote reminds me to hand over all things to God.
Right now he is in the hospital with a staph infection and is getting weaker by the day.

When we recall Christmas past, we usually find that the simplest things – not the great occasions – give off the greatest glow of happiness.”
~ Bob Hope, American film actor and comedian

How wonderful it would be if we could help our children and grandchildren to learn thanksgiving at an early age. Thanksgiving opens the doors. It changes a child’s personality… Thankful children want to give, they radiate happiness; they draw people.
