The snowman gets a red hat with a gold button on down to ten peanuts for toes. He is very dapper and well decorated by the time the book is done. The repetitive nature of the text made it easy for JDaniel to jump in and recite the text as I read it. It was fun to sing along with too.
Retelling the Story

JDaniel makes a fine snowman.
Hi there! I’ve added a link to the post but will have to figure out how to add the button later. I’m just learning all the behind-the-scenes blogging stuff! Thanks so much for the invitation! 🙂
We like this book too each winter. Adorable snowman!! Cute snow play picture at the end too:-).
Seriously love your blog. I need to respond to you more!!! LOL And I gotta add your button! Yahoo! Hopped over from blog frog. 😉
Came here from Momloop, but you beat me to it! 🙂 Anyway, this is such a FABULOUS meme idea! I love it… LOVE it!
What a great snowman JDaniel made!
JDaniel did a great job on the snowman! With all the snow we have outside, I should do some of these activities w/ my little girls. 🙂 Sharing your post on Twitter and FB.
I’m here from Momloop. Such a great idea! I love the snowmen, and your blog!
I love Denise Fleming books. I haven’t seen that one in particular but it looks like something we would enjoy reading. I love the craft you did along with it as well! Riding that trike in the snow was probably a good workout for him! I bet he was tired and ready for a nap after that.
lovely snow images.
beautiful crafts.
Thanks for sharing.
Well at least you had a cute snowplowman! I made that word up!
I’m going to have to look into that book.
We also did snowman this week. I actually have four books we were reading.
Wanted to thank you for the Peek a Book I won, I received it so quickly. The girls really enjoy it and I think it is so cute.
This sounds like so much fun…what a great snowman activity!
Fantastic – this reminds me a lot of the 4 in a row homeschool curriculum. What a great way to get the most (and more) out of a book!

jdaniel looks hard at work out in the snow….
