JDaniel is starting back to school in just over a week. This year he will be entering full-day kindergarten. That means he will need to bring his lunch every day. I am looking forward to making him fun or at least healthy lunches for him. JDaniel loves cheese sandwiches of all kinds, but I tend to think that he may be tired of them after a while. I touched base with members of the Kid Blog Network and the Bento Blogger Facebook groups I belong to and asked them to suggest lunches without sandwiches that I could send to school with him.
These ladies and gentlemen are brilliant. They have given me some amazing links to their best lunches without sandwiches. I hope that you will love them and try them out on with your children too.

So many great lunch ideas! My Peanut start full day kindergarten this year… We were just making a list of lunches she likes so she doesn’t always ask for PB&J.
What a wonderful sandwich free round-up. Thanks you for including my caterpillar lunch. Good luck to JDaniel on his first day of school.
I really love these lunchbox ideas! I have a child who they finally decided has a wheat allergy causing her skin issues. So, I have to be creative trying to make her lunches. This will help!
I love these ideas! I’ve been trying to find cute ideas on Pinterest for my son. I’m definitely stealing the casadilla strips! : )
These are fantastic ideas and what a great idea to have a link up for them too! My kids have gotten tired of sandwiches too..even as teens..I’m going to check these out 🙂
Blessings!
Thank you so much for hosting the Back to School Link up with me! Love all these ideas and shared on my Help Packing School Lunch Pinterest Board! http://pinterest.com/educatorsspinon/help-for-packing-school-lunches/
This is super awesome for me because I have one child who will not eat sandwiches at all!! Great ideas!! Even the one that will eat sandwiches is ready for a change, though!! –Lisa
Those look adorable! I wish I could create such fun lunches for my kiddos! You’re good!
Great lunch ideas! I hope to be able to create some fun lunches for the kids. These are great :0)
Love, love, love this — pinned for sure!
I’d even like to eat that Bentorrific lunch!
=)
I seriously love this idea!! My kids are so tired of sandwiches! I’ve been needing some great lunch alternatives!
Emily loves sandwiches but Brad hates them. I usually can get away with a sandwich for him if it doesn’t have any crust. I usually go with cheese, meat and crackers. He loves fruit so I always add that to his lunch too.
Love these ideas! My son is so over sandwiches.
I love these. Hey, I found out you “know” my real-life friend Sarah from Little Bins for Little Hands. Doesn’t surprise me!
I love these ideas but I don’t think I’d have the patience. I basically toss a sandwich, a bag of chips, and a bag of cookies in a bag and call it a day.
Maybe I could try to do one once per week though.
what a great bog hop…love it. Going to pin this and use some of these ideas for our lunches. thanks for sharing. HAPPY SATURDAY SHAREFEST

what great ideas! It is so hard to know if your kid will even eat the lunch you packed. My son would suffice with PB&J every single day if I let him. I love this post. Thanks for the ideas.
Happy ShareFest

These are almost too cute to eat. 🙂
Great ideas for some different lunches!
I love this. When I was a kid my mom put a bologna sandwich on wonder bread, a twinkie and a small bag of chips in my lunch. The sandwich would be made the night before then placed in the freezer so it was good and soggy when I went to eat it. One day I told her you really don’t need to pack that sandwich I throw it out everyday. Of course that was not acceptable and we settled on a half of a peanut butter sandwich and a banana instead. To this day I still don’t like sandwiches.
My oldest loves cheese sandwiches, but will switch it up with mini-pizza or a bagel, too. But even those get old a few months into school. Love this ideas!
Such a great bloghop and ideas for lunch. Doesn’t even have to be for kids, it’s like making me hungry!!

So fun! Hubby is the lunch packer around here and he’s not real creative about it. Of course, I don’t object enough to try and take the job from him-I’ve got enough going on!!
Stopping by from ShareFest. Have a great weekend!
Awesome ideas for lunch! My little one doesn’t like sandwiches so these are some great ideas!
Yum! I’m hungry now! Great lunches!
I may not be a kid, but I’m going to steal some of these ideas for packing my own lunch for work!
Love some of the names of these lunches. Visiting from #SITSSharefest
One of my friends is hosting a bento night next week. It’s always good to have more imaginative lunch ideas! And we don’t even have kids, we’re just doing it for ourselves 😉
These are some great ideas! My son does not like sandwiches.
great idea! and lots of links!
I love this post!! My daughter’s favorite lunch is a salad with crusted chicken and honey mustard dressing. She very rarely brings a sandwich, opting instead for salads, soups, or just a mix of fruits/veggies, hummus, etc. Great ideas! I will have to check out some of these lunches!
How exciting that JDaniel is starting K this year. Our daughter is an extremely picky eater, so we actually gave up on providing lunches and let her buy lunch at school. We’ll do it again this year, but next year I am thinking of offering her to make and pack her own lunch and keep the money left from her “lunch budget” for herself.
thanks for this… i will be using some of these ideas when school starts for broxton 🙂
Thanks for including my Lunchbox Dad site!
I’ve pinned this for inspiration! I like making the kids lunch at home, but there is something about packing school lunches that I don’t look forward too so I appreciate all the ideas!
