JDaniel and I attended a birthday party for Jesus today thrown by the Upstate Christian Moms Group. We listen to the Christmas story. (I listened and he tried to wiggle out of my lap.) We ate cake and sang “Happy Birthday too. The best part of the party was watching JDaniel play in the nursery. He took care of a baby doll in a highchair. JDaniel brought a plate with food and fed the baby with a fork. He got a cup and held it up to the doll’s mouth. Finally he cooked a meal in the microwave. He placed a plate with a piece of play bread in the microwave. Before he could close the door he hesitated a moment and reached for another plate to put on top of the bread. (I cover everything that goes in the microwave too.) After closing the door, he punched the paper buttons on the microwave. There must not have been enough numbers punched. JDaniel had to go back and punch some more numbers.
I was supposed to being visiting with the other mothers at the party. I had so much fun watching JDaniel pretend to be a mommy or daddy I really didn’t say much to the other mothers. I just love to watch my son do new things!
I remember feeling like that too! In fact, I still do… even when they’re 9,15 & 18. They’re just amazing. I could sit and watch all day.
How cute. I sure do miss my boys at that age.
Thanks for popping over to my place. I’m your newest blog follower.
Hi there! Thanks for stopping by my blog! We all love visitors, don’t we? You have a great website. That Fairytale Collection CD looks awesome!
I become mesmerized watching my grandson, too. Thanks for stopping by, neighbor! Do you think we’re gonna see a white Christmas?
The work of play is a wonderful thing to watch!
What a fun idea, a Birthday Party for Jesus. We used to do that when my kids were younger. I need to bring that tradition back. Thanks for stopping by my blog, sitsta!
I find myself returning to preschool early to sneak a peak of the kids playing in the gym. My son loves to ride a pink bike and my daughter likes to give the big boys rides on a the back of a red bike. It is amazing to get a glimpse of them without me around.
In always find myself watching my kids! I just wish i could save all the moments and watch them again when they are older!
I love listening to my MiniDork babble to herself and her toys. She’s so funny!
