Very cute!
Here’s one from my son TH – can you guess what a pankacorn is?
Hint: It’s an animal withprickly quills 😉
That is so sweet! I love hearing the ways that young children say their words. My son says “pullow” for pillow and it just melts me everytime I hear it.
I had problems with the online phonics program. That is just too cute! My son who is 7 on Sunday just called mashed potatoes “smashed potatoes” last night. He is kind of right!
Aww! How sweet. I love the way kids talk! A few years ago I was over at my sister’s house and my niece came up to me and asked for “burnt turkey” I was like when have you had burnt turkey? I asked my sister if they had eaten turkey recently and she said no. My niece was getting very frustrated (I think she was 3) and kept on telling me that she wanted “burnt turkey!” I finally thought to ask her who had burnt turkey and she said Bronson, that’s my brother. And soon as she said that it clicked she wanted beef jerky! *lol*
cute! Thanks for stopping by.
Too cute! I have to do a ton of deciphering all day long with Benji and Emilio. Benji is in speech therapy and he is working towards learning how to use his mouth correctly to form the sounds. Emilio is only 18mos so 50% is a mystery!
I got them too. I used to always have to translate for my son. I miss the way he used to talk!
You will so miss it when he says words properly!!! Bella used to say “commertional” instead of “commertial”. Such a little thing but I miss it!!!!
My son used to say “rainies” instead of raisins. I think I almost cried the first time he said it correctly.
Thanks for dropping by my blog via SITS.
LOL! We call it speaking Caleb-ese around here. My son is still having speech issues and occasionally reverts back into his own language. The other kids used to translate for him, but we learned that we shouldn’t do that anymore. It’s rough, and sometimes frustrating for him (and us) but we’re making progress.
That is too cute! Love how you were able to translate it!
I love how they sound when they are young. I still have a recording from my answering machine (the one with a tape LOL) of my 15 year old!
I’m told I used to call Chinese noodles Mingoes, but I have no idea why.
I really love how kids speak! It’s actually way more fun that doing it the right way!
That’s just so adorable.
My niece’s favorite food is “Shawsh” – sauce, or dip.
I love it! It’s so cute how kids say some of their words. You had me stumped on Sharfall– I haven’t heard of starfall.com. I’ll have to check it out.
i hear porkals are good with bacon.
It’s so funny how kids say things! I just did a post of my 18mo’s developments and new words here http://rogoclan.blogspot.com/2010/01/18-months-is-it-naptime-yet.html
Thanks for stopping by. Yay SITS!

So Very cute! One of my sons is wee oooh! It’s the sounds of the curfew alarm! LOL
Love it! My son called my brother Ryan “Uncan Rynan”. He also sometimes calls cars “wee”, since the kids say “Wee” when we drive over fun hills. LOL
