I really dreaded the long car ride two weeks ago to New York from our house in South Carolina. While JDaniel and I looked forward to seeing my sister Kate’s family and going to a family wedding, the hours in the car were going to be a challenge. I drove the first leg of the trip from South Carolina to Virginia without any trouble. JDaniel read books, played on his toy computer, and listened to me sing The Digger Picks up Lots of Dirt and several other variations of the Wheels on the Bus with construction equipment as the featured vehicle. We made several stops along the way one for lunch and one for ice cream. We both needed to get out and move.

Harry Houdini in the backseat? That is so funny! You’re brave to take the trip without the hubs!

I’m sorry about the last leg of your trip! I live just north of Charlotte at exit 30 off of 77. How did you like our lake? 🙂

Wow…that sounds like quite the trip! WE’ve taken many trips from NY to VA the last two years and the older the children get, the more boring it is for them to ride along. Daddy doesn’t like to stop either…so it’s just food and bathroom breaks for us.
Glad you made it home safely!

Sounds like a full trip! Sorry about your purse. That does not sound like fun at all. Glad to have you home.

Oh! I hate taveling with the kids. Any more than 30 minutes and I lose my mind! DVD players are the only thing that works for us. We are planning a trip opposite of yours in a few months. CT to North Carolina. Ugh!
