All summer I have been sharing Tiger Tales books I was sent to review. Todayβs book is the last one in the box I was sent of Spring releases. The book is called Bella-The Fairy Ball by Mandy Stanley. I have shared Bella with you before when she visited a birthday party. In Bella- The Fairy Ball a beautiful fairy chain Bella has made is whisked out of her hands and carried in a hole in a old oak tree. Bella finds that her chain is needed for a Fairy Ball in Fairyland. The fairies shrink Bella down to their size so she can visit the ball too. They also give her a special dress to wear to the ball. Later she is also given a wish by the Fairy Queen for sharing her daisy chain. Bella wishes that her family could meet the fairies too. I love that she makes a wish that is for others.
This book is a wonderful book filled with lessons about giving and sharing. Bella shows children how to be grateful and thankful. This is great book to talk about with your children and share ways they can give and share.
Since fairies sometimes use wands. JDaniel and I tried using a bubble wand to blow bubble fluid I colored with food coloring onto paper. JDaniel has recently regressed in his bubble blowing abilities. So he wanted me to do most of the blowing. He enjoyed popping the bubbles and rubbing the wand on paper.

We really-really loved that book too – Anna is still reading it from time to time. I keep reading about this bubble blowing art, but somehow it always seems too messy for me to attempt here π The results, however, do look beautiful.

Great activity! My boys always enjoyed popping the bubbles more than blowing them, too.

Oh, my daughter would LOVE this book! I have meant to do the bubble blowing art and I always forget. It came out great.

Sigh, that’s the sad part about not having a girly girl. Nobody in my house really wants to read cute books like that.

I love the name of this book. My mum didn’t want to be called a gran at 40 something so we decided she could be called Bella. That sounds like a fun activity! We love bubbles here, we got a bubble machine for the kids party. It went down a treat!

I would have never thought about using colored water to blow bubbles…so simple, yet so fun! Thanks.

This book sound great! The main problem I have is that I have three boys and the one who’s actually reading can’t be pried away from his Star Wars books for anything.
I loved your bubble blowing. What a creative way to make a piece of art!
Terra says
ok, question for ya? did the blue bubbles stain hands when popped? Not that it really matters because getting messy is fun. I just love bubbles and this looks fun.
I think Hailey might like the book too, however after her reaction to last nights book (posted today) I am not sure she will ever love a book more…

Our 2 year old girl loves Tinkerbell, so she’d probably like the book. Interesting idea with the bubbles. As a parent I need to rely on creative people like you and my wife to come up with these things. LOL. I’m dropping by from Mom Loop, and if I’m not already following you I will be in a sec. Have a great weekend!

Thanks for sharing the book and activity! Looks like a great book – my daughter would have loved it! And I always love activities that coordinate with a book. Bubbles are fun anyway but especially fun in conjunction with a great story.
