It took a few days for my husband to have the time to put the table together.
By last Saturday night, he just had to get as close to the water table as he could.
He spread out with his treasures from the Target Dr. Seuss Event and looked through them.
When he discovered crayons in his Target treasure bag, he had to color on the water table’s box and do some Dr. Seuss activities.
Finally, on Sunday afternoon, the water table was put together and he got to play with it.
He was in toddler heaven.

I put the box away.
He may just want to hang out with it later on.
They seem to have bonded.

FUN! Looks like JDaniel will have LOTS of fun with that water table this spring/summer!
We went to the Dr. Seuss event last weekend too. SBJ loved his goodies too…and I really love the cute little reusable bag!

Hahaha! So cute and sooo true! My boys do the same thing, play with the box more than the toy sometimes.
Oh how I wish it was warm enough to play outside in a water table! What a fun gift, he’s going to have a blast.

Oh! goodness! Those photos are so so cute!!! haha love that he was so patient and enjoyed as much of it as he could (even if it meant laying (this is my favorite pic!), playing, doing his art on the water table box) :o)
Yay! for Grandma, UPS and daddy!
Blessings & Aloha!
Thank you as always for stopping by :o) I look forward to your visits. The quilt is a really easy one, but yes, the ironing is important and does take time before actually sewing on this cathedral windows quilt :o)

That’s a wonderful gift ! For the moment I am not allowed to make a gift to my little grandson Toby, everything I do is bad, even a little rattle, lol ! I suppose when he is older it will get better now he is 3 1/2 months old.
Of course I could kill him !

That is SO funny. My kid rips into boxes as soon as they arrive if he knows they’re for him. I watched him go after the box that contained his new step stool with a truck and a cat toy trying to get inside!

We are bonded with boxes here as well. We have some especially fun boxes that our bathroom cabinets were delivered in. They actually don’t have tops or bottoms, more like giant cardboard tubes. This makes them easily flatten to fit under the bed, but also stand up to become a hideout when a blanket is thrown over the top.

If only we could hold on to that outlook from childhood, where we’re as excited about a box as for the thing that’s in it!

Hahahaha, that’s such a great story! I love how kids always think the box is as much fun (and sometimes more!) as the toy inside it.

My kids love playing with the boxes from their toys. Sometimes it even seems like they enjoy the box more than the actual toy.
