JDaniel usually eats everything in his muffin tin meals. This week several items were left in the tin. He just didn’t like their contents.
What did he like?
The cream cheese bagel ghost flew off the tray. (Do ghosts fly?)
The dip was scooped up.
The mac and cheese with sport equipment noodles that look like bones to me were a slam dunk.
The ghost shaped marshmallows were a success. ( I guess they flew too.)
What he did not like?
The cucumber sticks were left standing in their corner of the tin as yucky despite the fact that JDaniel’s inhaled as a before dinner appetizer the night before.
The tuna fish was scooped up and moved to an empty cup in the top row so he wouldn’t have to sit near it. JDaniel asked for tuna for breakfast a few day later.
I guess I can’t complain about his being a picky eater. He really does it a wide variety of foods. Some days that just don’t tickle his fancy.
What won’t your children eat?
I love the flowery tin! I need to get me one of those! The ghost is a great idea!
Isn’t it so exacerbating, you think you’re offering the foods they like. Food they looooved 2 days ago. And today, its like the worst thing you could put in front of them…. ahhh life with the little ones is never boring! 😀
These are always adorable! My son James is the same way. He’ll like something and the next time I feed it to him he’ll swear he’s never liked it. Sigh. Like you say, at least he eats a variety!
They have fickle tastes, don’t they? I never know what to expect. Cute tin!
My son is like yours – love something one day and the hate it the next. I can’t blame him though – there are days when you just don’t feel like eating something.
I can’t get my children to eat cucumber at all. Now that they are older, they don’t mind them.
My kids are the same way. I can never predict what they will eat!
My kids were pretty easy to please when they were young. (Good thing, too, because I was not nearly as creative as you are!)
=)
Fun meal! My kids also do this. They will LOVE something one day, then refuse to eat it the next.
Isn’t it funny how they will be picky about something that they love other times? My middle son didn’t want pizza the other day, usually his favorite thing!
My kids’ tastes change daily. Love the Halloween inspired tray.

My daughter is at the stage where anything without peanut butter is yucky. We made a rule she has to try something once and then decide if she really doesn’t like it. I find she tends to like more than she thinks 😉
I love that Halloween tray!!
How funny that he changes from day to day! I’ll bet there are certain foods he’ll eat every single day though.
Very sweet Muffin Tin Monday! I think anything new is worth putting on their plate. Sometimes when it’s presented in a pretty way, my daughters will like it, but other times? Not even the prettiest vegetables will gain their favor. 😉
My girls are the same way. What they eat one day, they turn their noses up to another. But, for the most part, it all balances out.
Every day is new with mine. The only item they consistently say boo to is tomatoes. I have tried a few different ways.
Well, you win some, you lose some, right?
too funny that he moved the tuna. my daughter moves stuff around that she doesnt want too!
I love the ghost! I try not to get too frustrated with my children and their eating habits. I figure they really have very little control over what they get to eat and I know that they are certainly days when I am “feeling” some foods more than others.
I bet he loves his muffin tin meals!
A nice lunch. My eldest is terrible for being fickle with his food!!
My kids will do that too. Scarf something one day and reject it the next. Drives me nuts. But like you, I can’t complain, since they eat quite a variety most of the time.
Well, yesterday at the apple orchard, my youngest ate almost 3 apples…now that we are home, he won’t touch the thing. I guess he likes it fresh off the tree.
I love your ghost bagel!
Super cute tin! We’re doing a Halloween theme next week. I got those marshmallows, too. 🙂
