Kids love to explore concepts hands on. Making math and science discoveries and sharing what they learn as they learn it helps kids connects concepts that they may have already started to build an understanding of. Several amazing posts that tie fun for kids with science and math were shared on The Sunday Showcase. I totally thought they deserved to be featured this week. My hope is that you will check each of them out. If you really like them as I do, I hope you will leave a comment on them, pin them or share them.
Fun For Kids
An Idea on Tuesday has brought learning to the park in this amazing post! Packing up some simple kitchen containers and utensils to take with you on a trip to the park makes so much sense and looks like a whole lot of fun.
Building with Rainbow Blocks on a Mirror looks like so much fun! Where Imagination Grows has me wishing we had a set of rainbow blocks. They are such a great way to explore color, light and symmetry.
Happy Hooligans‘ Frozen Fractal Soup Activity looks like great fun for a warm summer day! I love seeing kitchen utensils once again being used in learning.
Boy Mama, Teacher Mama has created some really nice tally mark dominoes! You will love this set! Tally marks are all the rage in kindergarten this year. My son loves to use them for counting. I bet your kids will too.
We have had fun with a tin can water pressure activity, solar system math facts game, and plastic jug flip chute at our house. We have used everyday items to explore and learn.
The Sunday Showcase is hosted on the following blogs:
