This is my final set of apple themed printables. Earlier this week I shared two digit addition worksheets. Two STEM activities with apples were also shared. There was one that focused on apple weight loss. The second STEM activity was an apple taste. (All the printables in this set are editable.) A set of reading comprehension worksheets was also shared.
Counting Worksheets 1-10
This Counting Worksheets 1-10 with an Apple Theme set has three worksheets in its set. It was inspired by an apple seed counting activity that I made several years ago. You will find that this set works on several skills beyond counting. They will invite your children to explore number recognition and one to one correspondence. There are three worksheets in this set. Let me walk you through them.

There are three worksheets in this set. Let me walk you through them.
Counting Worksheets 1-10: Counting the Seeds
The first counting worksheet invites children to count the number of seeds on each of the apples. Then beneath each apple, they are to write the number seeds they have counted.
They will notice that the apple numbers go in order from 1-10. This was done unpurpose. I thought that having the numbers in order would help with number recognition as well as counting.
Some children will need a visual reminder of what each of the numbers looks like. You may want to have a numbers 1-10 poster chart or student number lines out for your children to use.
Counting Worksheets 1-10: Adding Seeds
The next worksheet invites children to draw the seeds on apples. First, they will need to recognize the number under each apple. Then they will need to draw just that number of seeds on the apple above it. Notice that they are still working in number order on this counting worksheet.
Counting Worksheets 1-10: Mixed Up Numbers
So far your children have only worked with counting worksheets 1-10 that counted from 1-10. This worksheet has the numbers all mixed up. Your children will have to figure out what the number is without the aid of looking at the number that is right before or after it. Once they have figured it out they will need to place the correct number of seeds in the apple above it.
