I have tried to use the racecar grocery cart. It is the most unyielding thing to try to push down the aisle of a store. JDaniel was placed in one at Home Depot once and ever since then he has pointed to them frantically as we enter the grocery store. They are always right inside the door. It is like they are waiting for him. I have tried to explain to him that you can’t have a petite mommy that is not muscle bound and ride in the cart with the car. Only big moms can use those carts. So far he is buying it. The day is coming when he is going to notice that there are little moms pushing those horrible carts that don’t turn in aisles. I hope it doesn’t happen soon.

LOL too funny – I am very petite too (only 4’9″) and I could never drive those huge carts at Target, half the time I couldn’t even lift my kid into the cart at all – she probably hates shopping now, because she always had to walk with me and could never ride in the cart!

I’m average and still can’t handle those ridiculously clumsy carts. My daughter always wants the one at Wal-Mart that has two front blue seats before the carriage. Large carts of any sort — cars or whatever to extend or widen the normal load — should come with an 18-wheeler horn. Are you laughing yet? I occasionally make that sound effect when I’m driving them. 😉

I am not petite, not even in the slightest, and I would like to say for the record, I cannot manage those carts! They are so hard to turn. Impossible to manage in the aisles. And forget it if someone else is there! Although, I do have to say, I get the added benefit of double exercise as I have to constantly circle the store trying to angle the cart to get down the correct aisle. If I miss it, I circle around again, it is so much easier than trying to turn it around! LOL

I’m petite….LMAO, I love that word. I think if you’re 5 ft. & under, you’re considered ‘petite’. (no matter the weight:)
I have to say that when my kids were little they didn’t have ‘fun carts’..but they did have the quarter-rides out in front of the store that worked great as incentives for good behavior:) I don’t see those anymore…
I’m dropping in from SITS wishing you a happy Saturday & a very Happy New Year!!

I’m terrified of those carts, but not because of their size. I once saw a child eat old cheese out of the bottom of the seat…and I just haven’t been the same ever since. Total germophobe!
Stopping by from SITS!
