Yesterday I posted pictures we took at a pumpkin stand in downtown Simpsonville, South Carolina where we purchased a large pumpkin for our front porch. Today I have more pumpkin related pictures to share. These pictures are from a field trip JDaniel and his playgroup went on to Nivens Farm. We got a small pumpkin and bag of apples as part of the farm visit package. I am going to share so of the wonderful things we did and saw while exploring Nevins Farm.
We started with a hayride around the farm. JDaniel clung to me as the tractor took off and only relaxed half around the farm. When I asked him his favorite part of the trip later that day he said this was his favorite part.

Then someone headed off to look for a pumpkin. JDaniel was supposed to select one of the small pumpkins that were already picked as part of our farm visit package. After being guided back to them, he spent fifteen minutes trying to select a pumpkin. I was so ready to select one for him.

After selecting one of the small pumpkins, he jumped on inner tubes.
There was a wood teepee set up. JDaniel waited patiently for his turn to explore the inside of the teepee.
It is hard to see him in the tube. If you squint carefully, you may see his shadow. JDaniel crawled through the tubes many times. He also loved standing at one end of the tube and calling to me on the other end. The echoing effect really interested him.

I love pumpkin patches! How fun. I took my little one on a field trip a farm today and she loved it!
What a fun time you all had! My kids used to love going to local corn mazes and things when they were growing up — actually they still like it, and the boys have discovered it makes a great (cheap)date!
He’s a little independant one, isn’t he? Look at him, not even afraid to head off without Mama! His little curls are so cute, I must say.
The tunnels are so cool! My boys would totally love that.
This looks like such a fun visit! It is inspiring to me.
I found your site from Pumpkin Delight. I love it. I’m going to poke around a little bit, but don’t worry I’ll put everything back where I found it!!
Hi,
Babies and pumpkins go great together. I dont know why but I remember taking pictures of my first daughter sitting next to one. The pumpkin was bigger than her LOL What a cutie your son is! Thanks for sharing your fun day!

Oh, I love those pictures. We did the same thing on Monday. This time of year is the best! ANd I hear you about the amount of time it takes a child to pick a pumpkin. THey are all the same, son, just pick one…and stick with the decision. heehee
He’s so little. Looks like such a great day and a fun place to bring the kids.

My daughter, Jodie used to live in Greenville, South Carolina. We were in Simpsonville a time or two.. even went to this pumpkin farm.. I love South Carolina and wish she still lived there. She moved to Big Rapids, Michigan.. (she didn’t like the heat and humidity in Greenville).
Love your blog..
