You did so many wonderful activities to make the book come alive! I especially like the fishing for letters game. What a great way to make learning fun!

Making school Valentines are so much fun! They bring back so many memories when I was little. I’ll look the book up- thanks for the inspiration!

That sure looks fun! I haven’t heard of that book. I will see if my library has it. I wasn’t thinking, so we didn’t do valentines. We did Teddy Bears. Have a great weekend!

I love that book! I found it back when the boys were so little they still hadn’t figured out how to read normal books, and so now it’s all taped back together.

Those color-it-yourself Valentines are really neat. I bet both my kids would like that book about a runaway kiss!

Great book and follow-up activities! My kids (and students when I had a school) always loved fishing for Valentine letter hearts! The Valentine’s Day card exchange sounds like a great way to make Valentine’s Day extra memorable. Visiting from Mom Loop!

Oh my children are long past the age of reading books for children. I did used to love to read them Miss Rumphius and Roxaboxen when they were young though. Oh and Oh Were They Ever Happy was a favorite as well…but I don’t recommend doing any activities from that book as the children painted the house for the parents.
Combatbootmom says
One of our favorite bed time stories! Maybe we will read it tonight…
