What did we do?
We looked at letters this week. The long O sounds in two of the words of the book’s title were the inspiration.
Game with Letters
We liked looking through the book and talking about the letters too. When he is a little older, we will work on writing in the answers and continuing to sing the songs.

I didn’t use educational games with ‘Timan’ so far, but he has an Alphabet puzzle, lots of Alphabet and Number books and magnets for the fridge, I think he’s doing good with it. I let him take the lead, whenever he wants to ‘read’ or ‘count’ we play reading and counting. Maybe I should start him with writing the letters and numbers he knows, but I want to keep it light and fun and playful.

I love Roly Poly Egg. My son loves “read” the line, “It was small- yes, spotty-yes, and absolutely perfect in everyway.” I think that’ so sweet. Looks like JDaniel4 is doing a lot of letter learning there 🙂

Love the use of bristle blocks! We have some of those but don’t get them out very often – I kind of forget we have them!
That book looks really cute.

Roly Poly Egg is such a fun book. It’s interesting that my daughter who is an amazing reader still has problems matching letters to their sounds. Perhaps CD of songs would help!

I always enjoy seeing what you come up with. My kids have bristle blocks, but I never thought to make letters with them!
