Last week’s meal had some untouched foods. This week’s Halloween meal is filled with foods JDaniel liked.
A tortilla with a melted oozing bat shape was the first thing JDaniel took a bite out of.

Then he headed to the sweet potato tater tots. We have tried sweet potato french fries before, but never tater tots. They were really yummy.
Next he had June Clever Nirvana’s Super Easy Pumpkin Soup with Bonus DHA. He wasn’t a huge fan, but did say that it tasted so much better than the pumpkin soup we have made before. I am a huge fan. I ate two bowls for lunch! Yum!
Finally he had apple crisp that was leftover from an event I had to bring a breakfast item to earlier in the week. We were all happy to see that one of the two dishes of apple crisp I made had some left in it. We all love it.
This post is linked to Muffin Tin Monday.
Years ago I watched this Martha Stewart where she made pumpkin soup with a bunch of kids. And the focus was table manners. So they’re all sitting at the table trying to eat this pumpkin soup and she’s lecturing them about table manners and they’re all kind of making these faces – you could totally tell they didn’t like it. It was really funny. I don’t blame Jdaniel – I’m not sure Pierce would like pumpkin soup either – although we’ve never tried it.
I have my Halloween tin scheduled for Halloween – it did turn out well! 🙂 I’m going to link it with your Halloween themed stuff as well (I have a craft to link too).
I love your tortilla with the bat! It also looks like the Fox motorcross emblem…perfect for dirt bike riders as well!
The tortilla is great! I have a pumpkin soup recipe that some of the kids love, but others do not like it at all. Maybe it’s an acquired taste!
Fun lunch! I think it’s great that he tried the soup.
Sweet potato tator tots, oh do share the recipe!
Oh man! I want to try those sweet potato tater tots!! YUMMMMOOOO!!!

Wow, I must be the odd one out – my daughter does like pumpkin soup! In fact it’s something we have for dinner often, because it’s one of the few ways I can get that much vegetable into her! This looks like a yummy meal – I always forget about tortillas for MTM…
A lovely autumn tin. I have not made pumpkin soup yet this year as only one of my boys likes it.
What a yummy lunch. The soup and the sweet potato tater tots sound yummy!
I love the bat on the tortilla. I’ve never seen sweet potato tator tots before, I need to look for them!
