Ways to Explore the Patterning Strips
- Each of the patterning strip pages has three strips on it. You could print out each page and cut out each strip. However you could give a child the whole page and have them complete each of the patterns displayed on the page.
- If you choose to use the pages as worksheets, you can have your children draw their own patterning object on each ghost. Then they can place letters under each ghost to show the pattern that each strip displays.
- Laminated or covered strips can be placed in a math center to be used over and over again. Even when children are working in a center setting it is important to check and if they are creating the pattern correctly.
