As you may know JDaniel is the one that struggles the most with allergy face at my house. Even with medication he can get puffy eyes and a red nose on the toughest days. What you may not know is that I struggle with allergies too. My allergies aren’t as bad as his are, but like his they have plagued me all my life. During the spring and early summer I have a ZYRTEC® ALLERGY FACE® too.
When I was given the opportunity by ZYRTEC® to look at some tips for making my ALLERGY FACE® look less like I have had the plague I jumped at the chance. (Yes, I know that I have never even talked about make up before on the blog, but I so want to look more like JDaniel4’s Mom during the months that my allergies plague me.)
These tips from ZYRTEC® celebrity makeup artist Jamie Greenberg will make my face look less puffy, my nose less red, and my eyes less bulgy from watery eyes. In other words, they will make me feel more like his mom.
There were six looks to try to create on my face listed on the ZYRTEC® Facebook page. I decided to try the barest beauty look. I don’t tend to wear a lot of makeup during the day so, the barest makeup look sounded like a look at could wear almost every day and feel normal. You may look through the looks and find one that you think fits your lifestyle better than the barest beauty look. You may also decide that you want the look I went for.
After purchasing the make up I need to achieve this non- ALLERGY FACE® look, I then had to try to achieve it. This was actually pretty scary. Not the putting on of the make up, but the taking pictures of my putting on make up. I am not a big picture person. I love to take pictures, but not be in them.
Here are Jamie Greenburg’s tips for removing ALLERGY FACE® :
- Start with your skin. I started by adding a green tinted concealer and than a skin colored concealer to my face. Then I added highlighter to shade my features. (I had to ask for help to find these at the store.)
- Apply bronzer where the sun naturally hits my face.
- Put brown eyeliner under my lash line and then mascara.
- Place a light colored gloss on my lips.
I think Jamie Greenburg’s tips created a look that I can use to get rid of that ALLERGY FACE® . I love that it feels light on my face and really does make my eyes less puffy!
