This set of Election Day themed patterns cards will b fun to explore during election time. However, you could explore them while talking about data gathering or patterning. The cards display a number of Election day symbols along with political party animals.
If your children aren’t familar with Election Day, you may want to read them one of the Election-themed books below. There is also a set of Election Day vocabulary flashcards available on my I Spy Election Day Symbols activity. Going over the symbols they display and talking about what they mean would be helpful. (Yes, the symbols in that set match the symbols in this set.)

Exploring the Patterning Strips
Whether you choose to use these in a center or with a small group, they will be a fun way to look at patterning. Some children will benefit from working on one with you or a partner to ensure they are completing the pattern accurately.
